LOCATION :

The London Borough of Sutton is located in South London (UK). It covers an area of 43 km² in the Outer London. 

HISTORY :

The borough was formed in 1965 by the merger of the Municipal Borough of Sutton and Cheam with the Municipal Borough of Beddington and Wallington and Carshalton Urban District which had previously been part of Surrey (Wikipedia source).

LOCAL INITIATIVE:

1.- What?

This is an important local project to create the first London residents' network website named "the Community Network for Sutton Residents".  It represents a communication bridge at all level between :

- Local Residents each other

- Local Residents and their Residence Management team

- Local businesses, national businesses and our local residents to offer them great deals to allow them to save money.

2.- Where?

The London Borough of Sutton.

3.- Who?

This project is set by a local resident based at "Sutton Central" close to the railway station of Sutton to make a strong community contribution by establishing the first London network website to reunify residents of a London Borough. 

4.- Why?

The big spending cut, due to the worldwide economic crisis, puts a serious strain in everyone's finance and family budget. People needs now to pay special attention to their budget by saving money . The "Community Network for london Borough of Sutton Residents" aims to contribute massively to this concern for our local residents, in addition to the improvement of social interactions at all level, through solidarity and communication values. 

Indeed, by increasing social interactions between our residents, we build a strong network to keep them closer each other throughout the London Borough of Sutton via this website. They can then save money by helping each other thanks to deals from both other residents and those from businesses (local and national) by the intermediate of this website. 

Furthermore, the more social interactions we build, the better we strengthen our neighbourhood watchdog scheme throughout our London Borough of Sutton. 

5.- When?

This is a brand new project launched since the 25th December 2011 after investigations within residents in different areas of the London Borough of Sutton to get a better understanding of their needs and suggestions. Please note we are always open to any suggestion to carry on improving the project to better serve your needs.
